Timothy J. Nyanzi is a Comedian, Writer, Comedy Mentor, Co-Founder of The Punchliners, an Executive Member of The Uganda Comedians Association (TUCA), Director and Producer. He has run Funny Tuesday, More Coffee More Comedy, Kubby’s Open Mic Night, New Material Night and currently hosts Laffé Little and comedy night at Red Basket.

He has featured at The BAYIMBA International Festival of The Arts, has performed at International festivals in Kigali and Juba and at The Goliath Comedy Club (S. Africa). He was part of the comedians that featured on Comedy Club Live In Kampala that aired on Africa Magic (DStv).

In 2021, he released his debut stand up comedy special The Pun African that streamed on FEZAH. He is also a comedy mentor whose mentorship program accounts for close to 75% of the comedians performing currently.

Timothy has featured on BBC’s Africa Daily podcast talking about the state of comedy in Africa and he is a writer for the AMVCA nominated reality TV Show Kan-See-Me about comedian Anne Kansiime.
